You can call Buddytown "my baby" project as nothing I've created has had the impact that buddytown has had on my life. The idea behind the project was conceived between several friends hanging out until the wee hours of the morning. I can clearly remember buying the domain around sunrise. Through several friends help we devised a social network that would be invite only and only one invite per member. There was also a profile history feature that allowed you to see who was stalking your profile. I spent several years adding new features and playfully changing the way certain things worked.

The success of it wasn't that we struck a goldmine or that we were featured in Wired magazine. We simply bridged friendships and social activity across the city of Nashville, across state lines, and into several countries. Ironically a monthly party was spawned that was open to the public. After four years and several up & down trends in user activity, the site was renamed to Douchetown. The original slogan of Buddytown was "No Douchebags Allowed" and the founding members thought the name change was a good sign of closure for the project.
